Genevieve Marie Harden

Genevieve (Jean) Harden, 95, of Cape Coral, FL passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Born February 11, 1919 in Vestaburg, PA to the late Bernard and Helen (nee Kruszmanowska) Soltysiak, Jean retired from the Continental Can Company in Pittsburgh, PA on April 1, 1981. Shortly thereafter, she relocated to Cape Coral, FL. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Aux. Post 8463, the German-American Social Club, a volunteer at Cape Coral HS, Mariner HS and was awarded "Volunteer Of The Year" in 1994 and 1995. Jean will be greatly missed by all!

Jean is survived by her loving daughter Cecilia (Franciose) Griffin; 5 dear grandchildren Martin (Shirley) Griffin, Jr., Loretta (Hank) Weil of Palm Bay, FL, Cecilia (Michael) Vivace of Atlanta, GA, Mark and Christopher Franciose of Yonkers, NY; 7 cherished great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Clifford, son Samuel and son-in-law Martin, Sr.

The family will receive friends from 4 – 8pm on Thursday, August 7th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 8th at 10am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd. Cape Coral, FL.
