I was never in your class, but you were one of the most caring people at Cape Coral High School. During junior and senior year, if I ever had a question about SGA, you'd be able to answer it. 
And thank you for giving my brother my prom ticket for him to give to me. Without you, I might not have gone and I wouldn't have had an end to an amazing year. Please watch over all of us, as I'm sure you already are. Once a Seahawk, always a Seahawk!

Gloria, you were so welcoming and caring when I joined the Seahawk famiy. Your passion and love for the students just radiated to those around you.  You will be greatly missed.

Gloria is now an angel in the arms of Jesus!  I'll miss her.  She was a loyal Seahawk and very caring person.   I pray for peace for Jack and her family.

Mrs. Cross took me into her home when I had nowhere else to go. I will always remember her kind ways and cherish the funny moments we shared. I'm so saddened by this news but I know you are looking down on us smiling. Until we meet again ?

Gloria, can you read this in your spiritual 'body'?  If so, I am so glad you were in the art wing all those years. I enjoyed our visits!  I have missed those.  I miss you.  You always amazed me with your involvement in so many activities beyond the school day.  I know you will be one of Cape's and your family's and Jack's guardian angels.  Bless you on the next part of your life journey.  I hope we meet again.  You ARE ONE BEAUTIFUL SOUL!

I was thinking of you today and years ago when as the "last in" at Cape I shared your room with you and how welcome you made me feel when a traveling teacher has nothing but complication to look forward to (thank God we don't do that anymore. I remember how we both needed each other's help in our hard times in ways that others know nothing about.  Gloria you have served your fellow human well.  You deserve the rest.

Gloria, you were an inspiration because of your giving heart. Your students loved you because you loved them unconditionally. Your colleagues loved you because you were always there for them with a smile and empowering encouragement, or at the least, a comforting laugh. Your family loved you just because you were who you were. I loved you for all those reasons. Now we all know you are one of those angels who watch over us.

We are still in shock over the news of the passing of Mrs. Cross. She was one of the most inspirational people I have ever met and will forever be in my heart. Ill never forget the time she was walking down the hallway as a teacher was kicking me out of her class,Gloria grabbed my arm and told me to get in her class now! She was always there to watch my back, even when I was in the wrong. Mrs. Cross, you left so suddenly and words can't describe the pain in my heart. I love you and miss you dearly.

Our CCHS family has lost truly a beautiful person Gloria was always there for me either with a kind word or hug to pick you up when you where down I've been one of the many who have been given this blessing of knowing Gloria.

Heaven's gain is our community's loss. For the years of dedication to our youth, she leaves a legacy that will live on for generations to come. So saddened of this loss, so blessed to have a child that experienced her leadership.

Gloria was a wonderful friend and colleague.  I will miss her terribly and so will the students in the Destination Graduation Program. She welcomed me with open arms when I joined the CCHS family and was always there to help and be supportive. God has good plans for her with all the other angels he takes too soon. My sympathies to Jack and her family. She loved you all so much and spoke of you often. I am so glad she had just spent some time with you.

Doug & Jackie, I am so sorry for your loss.  Gloria loved you both very much.  I always have a smile on my face when I think of her.

To say Gloria was a class act would be an understatement.  She was the first to go to bat for a student or colleague and was known to march into the principal's office to right any perceived wrong.  Her students loved her and she pushed many to not give up and to graduate high school.  I will miss her guidance and our chats between classes.  She seemed to know the answer to every question posed and if she didn't, she would find out. Gloria Cross- an A+ teacher and friend.

I am shocked and saddened to learn that God called another angel home.  Gloria was a dedicated teacher who truly cared about her students.  She knew first hand how many hours SGA takes and was willing to take on being the advisor!  My prayers and thoughts are with the loved ones she leaves behind.

Mrs. Cross was my english teacher, yearbook liaison and my senior class advisor. I became quite close with her throughout high school. I will always remember how funny and easy going she was and most of all how kind she was...to everyone.
She was definitely full of school spirit! The class of 2004 will always remember her as she was so very involved in all things important. We will also always think of her laughing with us to the movie "So I married and ax murderer."
I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Gloria was a special person. She loved people; she would do anything for anyone. She loved her family and she loved Jack. Not only was she good-hearted and loving but also forgiving. If she got mad, she would be over it the next day. I have been lucky to have shared a very close friendship with her for the past thirteen years and I will miss her terribly. Gloria touched the lives of so many at CCHS as a faculty member, Student Government Association, the Class of 2004, the Class of 2013 and her English classes. I will carry her memory in my heart forever.

Wishing you all peace with the sudden passing of Gloria and may her dear grandchildren always feel her love.

My heart aches for Jack and Gloria's family at this difficult time. I adored Gloria and her huge heart. We sponsored class of 2004 together and there was never a dull moment and we loved every minute of it! I will always hold a special place in my heart for her. Lord, take care of your new angel and Gloria-give my mom and Jerry a big hug for me.

I had the honor of being a student of Mrs. Cross in High School. I can only remember how awesome of a teacher, person, and mentor she was to all her students. My prayers go out to the family. Mrs. Cross was such a blessing to the community and it's sad to hear of this loss.
