James "Jim" Blagaich passed away on March 30, 2020. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Edith Claire Blagaich in 2013. He is survived by his children, Christine E. Ischkum (David), Paul R. Blagaich, James V. Blagaich (Lisa) and Carolyn Bird Salazar (Dan). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He proudly served 8 years in the United States Air Force. Jim will always be remembered for his kindness and corny jokes. He had the ability to make people smile and tell a story. He was a daily visitor to the Yacht Club in Cape Coral to fish, talk with his friends and take in the sunshine. A memorial service to be held at a later date.

We sailed the Gulf of Mexico in a 90ft fishing vessel called 'The Great Getaway', 20 miles out we caught groupers, snappers, etc. we filleted the fish that we could for the night and stunk up the garage w a few. Also, on St. John's Lake behind Uncle Rex and Aunt Lil's house, me and grandpa both casted a silver minnow at the same time and instantly each caught a northern pike. I remember great moments like these as if they were yesterday and I naturally live on for him...
