Jim B. Gruss, 73, of North Fort Myers passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Born on August 8, 1945 in Gaylord, Michigan. Jim was retired from sales management in the computer industry, served in Vietnam in the Navy, a member of Heron’s Glen Country Club, and attended First Assembly of God. Jim was an avid golfer for most of his life and passionate about so many things. He was so loving and kind to not only his family and friends but he made a stranger feel amazing and so loved. His sense of humor was one of a kind and he could put a smile on everyone’s face. His bright blue eyes and handsome smile lit up any room he was in. You wanted to be around Jim – he was so knowledgeable and smart with just about everything you can imagine – cars, golf, music, history, jokes, the list could go on an on. His sense of humor was out of this world making everyone laugh around him. All around Jim was the most witty, fun-loving man that cared for everyone in his life. He loved Jesus and he loved all people. From morning until night he was winning words with friends, sharing his jokes, and loving life. Some of his last words shared with his wife was “This is the best I have felt and the happiest I’ve been in my life, God is good.” He will be missed by so many and words cannot express the shock we are in. We love you so much – rest in peace our love. Jim is survived by his beloved wife Joan LeMaster Gruss of 7 years, his daughter Jen Gruss, his two grandchildren Tyler Coplea and Ryan Glus, along with his first great granddaughter Penelope Coplea. Preceded in death by Elaine and Kim Gruss.
