James P. Stebbins, 74, of N. Ft. Myers died at home Oct. 14, 2022, under the care of Hope Hospice. Jim was born in Tampa, FL., and resided there until 2004 when he moved to N. Ft. Myers to care for his father-in-law. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp and received a purple heart for his service in the Vietnam War. He was a deacon at N. Ft. Myers First Baptist Church. Jim lived by the Marine Corp motto Semper Fi (always faithful) in regards to his family, his friends, and especially his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Naida S. Stebbins, his chosen son, Justin S. King; brothers Neil (Janet) Stebbins, Will (Karen) Stebbins, Russell (Carol) Stebbins, and sister Catherine Stebbins, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for James will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at North Fort Myers First Baptist Church, 75 Evergreen Rd, North Fort Myers, FL 33903.
A graveside service will occur Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Fort Myers Cemetery, 3200 Michigan Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33916.
Serving as pallbearers are Jim Miller, Jimmy Harrison, Marty Lunsford, Andy Soucy, Chris Harrison and Kyle Atherton.
