Joan E. Patterson, 89, of Cape Coral died September 19, 2010. Born March 3, 1921 in Rochester, N.Y., to Albert and Mary DeForest, she was a singer during the Big Band Era, working with Frank Sinatra and others and was very involved with local musicals and plays in Cape Coral. Joan and her husband Charles were travel escorts for Geraci travel and traveled throughout the world. She is survived by her loving son, Charles Scollick, stepson, John Patterson, stepdaughter, Lynn Ray and preceded in death by her 1st husband, Charles Scollick, and 2nd husband, Charles Patterson. A memorial will be held for Joan on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Rd. Intement at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
