Born in Stamford, CT, on August 30, 1949, Kathy attended Saint Peter’s Grammar School and graduated from North Rockland High School in Haverstraw, NY. Kathy enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, NY. For 35 years, it was her home away from home, where her coworkers and patients became family. After retiring, Kathy moved to Cape Coral, FL, where she embraced a new chapter surrounded by sunshine, friends, and her love for quiet hobbies. Kathy enjoyed crocheting, had a passion for cooking, and a lifelong interest in Native American history. She was an avid reader of mystery novels. In recent years, one of her greatest joys was dining out with her dear friend Bonnie.
She is survived by her three loving sisters: Elizabeth Schepis (Anthony) of Stony Point, NY, Sharon Marinozzi of New City, NY and Jacqueline Liszak of Cape Coral, FL. She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews, as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom brought her tremendous joy.
We are grateful for a lifetime of memories filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Kathy was a generous, kind, and loving sister and aunt—always ready with a helping hand, a kind word, or a listening ear. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will remain in our hearts forever.
