Leslie Gerald Heinlen, 77, of Lehigh Acres, FL went home to be with His Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on October 2, 2012,at 10:15am at Hope Hospice, Lehigh Acres. He was born July 11, 1935 in Sharon, PA, the son of the late Robert Leslie Heinlen and Geraldine Shoemaker. Les married the former Elizabeth Montgomery 57 years ago in Sharpsville, PA.
Les was a journeyman finish carpenter for General Woodcraft in Sharpsville, PA and later moved to Columbus, OH where he had his own Roofing Business, Division VII for several years.
He was in the U.S. Naval Reserves for 22 years and retired as Chief Petty Officer in the Seabees.
Les was preceded in death by two daughters, Jeanette and Janet Heinlen, and a sister, Donna Heinlen Reed. He leaves his wife, Elizabeth; two daughters, Beth Jeffries and Linda Bell (Chad); five grandsons, Chad and Brian Jeffries and Joshua, Zachary, Caleb Bell; three granddaughters, Krista Jeffries; Brittany and Jennifer Bell; and two great granddaughters, Brianna and Jaiden.
