Linda V. Fielding, 82, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025, under the compassionate care of Hope Hospice. She was born January 20, 1943 in Englewood, New Jersey to the late, Walter Albert and Virginia Elizabeth (Phelps) Whittard.
Born with a steady spirit and a dedication to service, Linda pursued business school after graduating high school and built a career rooted in loyalty and professionalism. She served as an administrative secretary for the Strategic Air Command (SAC), proudly supporting efforts during a pivotal time in U.S. history. Later, she continued her career at Saddle Brook Hospital, offering warmth, efficiency, and a steady hand to the many colleagues and patients who came through its doors.
Linda is survived by her three children, Jon Fielding (Maylin), Betty Schermer (George) and Jim Fielding (Irina); sister, Betsy Dec (Gary); five grandchildren and one great grandchild- each of whom will carry her memory forward with strength and grace.
