

Born on October 29, 1937, in Bronx, New York, Carol was the beloved daughter of Frank A. Armagno and Venita Snyder. She carried the values of faith, compassion, and dedication with her throughout her life.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband and partner, William Lawrence Kugler.
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by profession, Carol devoted her working years to caring for others. Her same nurturing self-transitioned when she joined Saint Katherine Drexel where her artistic talents and love of crocheting were expressions of her generous spirit, as she continually created items that brought comfort and joy to others.
Above all, Carol was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her five children: Ellen (Kugler) Lathem of Washington, DC; Laura (Kugler) Natal of Cape Coral, FL; Carrie (Kugler) and Ron Buttrum of North Fort Myers, FL; Lisa (Kugler) Olive of Cape Coral, FL; and Matthew Kugler of Lake Hopatcong, NJ.
She was the proud grandmother of nine: Christopher Lathem, Erica Natal, Amanda (Buttrum) Smith, Ally Buttrum, Brian Olive, Michael Olive, Kyle Kugler, Luke Kugler, and Hannah Kugler.
She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Levi Smith, Lydia Smith, Natalie Lathem, and Isabella Lathem.
Carol will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her compassionate heart, and the quiet strength with which she cared for both her family and her community. Her legacy lives on in the lives she nurtured, the family she cherished, and the love she gave so freely.
There will be a memorial mass at St. Katherine Drexel Church, 1922 SW 20th Avenue, Cape Coral, Florida 33991, (239) 283-9501 on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 10:30am. She will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery, where she will reunite with her beloved husband, Willy.
