

Mrs. Batanian was born May 31,1930 in Sharon, PA a daughter of the late Karl and Mary Yarzab.
After graduating from Sharon High School , Mary went to work at Westinghouse Electric helping to manufacture torpedos during the Korean War. Mary also worked at Penn Star Credit Union as an Administrative Assistant.
Mary is survived by three children Larry Batanian and his companion Bonnie Kelly, Savannah, GA; Debbie Eppinger and her husband Ken Killion, Cape Coral, FL; and David Batanian and his wife Sally, Arlington Heights,IL; three grandchildren, Michael Batanian and his wife Jess, Brooklyn, NY; Alex Batanian and his wife Kelsey, Severn, MD; and Kiel Batanian and his companion Mandy Crosby, Pittsburgh, PA and 2 great grandchildren Owen and Hannah Batanian. She also leaves a sister Rose Mazur, Simpsonville, SC.
Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Harlan Sonny Batanian of 54 years, four brothers Louis, Joseph, Frank, and Edward Yarzab, sister Genevieve Gallan, daughter-in-law Tricia Batanian and son-in-law Dr. Bradley Eppinger.
A mass will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Church on Monday, June 1st at 11am. Her body will be returned to Sharon and a graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery on Monday, June 15th at 11am.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Gulf Coast Village where Mary made her home for the last 12 years. We would also like to thank Vitas Healthcare who tended to Mary’s needs during the last 4 months of her life.
