Mitchell served in the Army National Guard in North Carolina. After 28 years with Century Link he retired in 2015. Larry loved being on the water, boating and fishing.
Mitchell is survived by his beloved wife Janice of 24 years. He was a loving father to son Cody Smith and daughter Jennifer (Marty) Thompkins. He was Poppy to his 3 grandchildren Devin, Bailee and Haylee. Loving brother to his siblings Rosanna (Joe) Rhea, Terry (Eleanor) Ward, Brian (Marsha) Ward and Allen Ward. He also leaves behind many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Merriell Smith and mother Gladys Ward.
Service will be held Sunday July 10th 2016 at 2:00 pm. at Coral Ridge Funeral Home in Cape Coral. Service will be officiated by Pastor Lee.
