Nancy Theresa Eckenrod

Nancy Theresa Gimber, was born in Brooklyn NY on November 20, 1936 to Nancy and John Gimber.

She graduated from Westfield High School in NJ in 1954. She later moved to Warren Township NJ after marrying Richard Hewson. She worked as a school secretary for many years, a car saleswoman, a realtor and even drove a school bus while working at the school.

In her spare time, she raised chickens, ducks, sheep and had horses. She also had a huge vegetable garden and canned a lot of it. She was very involved in the church and also 4-H. She loved listening and dancing to country music. She moved to Green Valley, AZ with husband Bill Eckenrod for many years as a school secretary and a volunteer for the Sheriff department. She then moved to Cape Coral, FL when her grandson was born. She worked for the St. Saint Catherine, Drexel church in Cape Coral.

Survived are her daughter Michelle Voss, son in-law Art Voss, Grandson Nicholas Voss (deceased)Son Rick Hewson in NJ daughter in-law Shelly Hewson and a half brother John Gimber and wife Joyce Gimber in FL

Services are currently being handled by Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery. A Graveside Service is currently scheduled for December 7, 2023 at 2pm at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
