Ray  has  been a  friend and a neighbor since 2010 when we moved part time from Georgia to  Pine Island. Ray had an amazingly warm and friendly smile and was extremely welcoming us to  Pine Island. Ray was a beautiful ray of sunshine to Pine Islanders and whenever I come here, I knock on his door to see his smile and warm friendship. My daughter was extremely crazy for him and always asked me how Mr. Ray was doing.
 My family and me are going to miss him for ever! Ray was the standard bearer of how to be a good neighbor, a good Christian and a descent American.
 REST IN PEACE RAY!!!

My parents moved across the street from Ray and his brother back in 2010.  They were so kind and chatted with my dad all the time.  Even after his brother's death, Ray kept moving.  Always mowing his lawn or pulling out his car for a car wash using the island rain showers.  We will miss you, Ray!  God Bless

Ray was 91 when he passed away. The last time I saw him a few weeks ago he was just as sharp as when I met him many many years ago. He was funny, sharp as a tack, kind, great baker and a great artist of sarcasm.  He took care of his family out, living with his parents that he cared for, his wife that he cared for, and his brother that he cared for. He told me that he was ready to be reunited with his family and was at peace and ready to go. He will be missed Larry and Hilda Rardon
