Traci is survived by her father, David Carwana; her sister, Jennifer Welsch (James); her grandfather, Vernie Franklin; her grandmother, Anne Carwana; the love of her life, James Post and her nieces and nephews, Oliver, Nora and in her heart Elaina and Matthew. She is predeceased by her mother, Lynette Carwana; her grandmother, Lillian Franklin; and her grandfather, Joseph Carwana.
Traci was born a fighter on December 21st 1994 in Fort Myers, Florida to David and Lynette Carwana. She graduated with honors from Edison State College all while she fought for her life and prevailed through a double lung transplant not just once but twice. She was so strong and was determined to live her life to the fullest and that included getting married to the love of her life, James Post. They were set to be married in April of 2022.
There's nothing more Traci enjoyed than life itself and that included working with her colleagues who quickly became friends, spending her weekends curled up on the couch with her fur babies and her fiance or at the ranch riding her horse with her fellow equestrians and friends. It was there Traci felt most at peace. When she was on that horse you would never know the day to day battle she fought. After everything Traci went through, it was always her first priority to get back to the life that she loved whether it was advancing her education, spending her days at the barn or being surrounded by her friends and family. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who she touched throughout her life.
A memorial service has been scheduled for June 11th at 10am at Coral Ridge Cemetery in Cape Coral Florida. Father Paul Dechant will officiate. Flowers or donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation are being accepted by the family.
