Virginia Rose Kennedy, 94, of Cape Coral, went to our Lord Sunday, March 15, 2015. Born October 9, 1920 in Covington, KY, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Walter Thomas Kennedy. She is the loving mother of 2 daughters Theo Mary Kennedy of Cape Coral and Maureen Kennedy (Joseph) Gronefeld of Frankfort, KY; 4 grandchildren Joseph Jr. (Kellie) Gronefeld of Louisville, KY, Adam Gronefeld of Frankfort, KY, Nathan (Joni) Gronefeld of Frankfort, KY, Amanda Gronefeld (LeTaurus) Jefferson of Lexington, KY. 3 great grandchildren Lily and Will Gronefeld of Louisville, KY and Desmond Jefferson of Lexington, KY. Virginia was an active member in the St. James City Hobby Club.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery, Cape Coral, between the hours of 8:30 – 10:30am with a mass of Christian burial at 11am at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Bokeelia. An entombment will immediately follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
