Over the years, I enjoyed many sleepovers, meals and games of trivial pursuit at Dennis and Judy's house. I will especially miss her honesty, sense of humour and her laugh. I will even miss her yelling at me for "teasing" Slater. I am truly grateful for the memories and will hold them dear to my heart. Rest in peace.

You have been in my thoughts often over the past few weeks, and I am glad I could be there for the Birmingham service. I feel lucky to have met Judy, she was a fantastic lady.

I have a memory of Judy. When we lived across the street, I was over playing with Allison. She must have had a cold because your mom was putting vicks on her chest. I remember pulling up my shirt and saying "Can I have some too?" and without skipping a beat she plopped me on the bed and rubbed a bit on, just to make sure I wasn't left out, her heart of gold shone bright that day. Still to this day, when smell Vicks I think of her.
She will be missed.

I will miss Judy very much. I dread the day I come home to visit and she isn't there. She was a true friend and kindred spirit to me. Thinking of and praying for all of you.

Dianne, Alley, and Dennis ---  I've thought of you all often since seeing you in Regina, Carlyle, and Melville to celebrate Judy's life earlier this month.  I wanted, once again, to extend my deepest sympathies to each of you and to let you know that I will always remember Judy fondly.  Her forthrightness, and no-nonsense honesty and sense of humour will be missed.  If I'm ever at a loss for words, or wondering how to tell someone what I really think, all I'll have to do is ask myself...."What would Judy say?"  And that'll get right to the heart of the matter.

I have so many fond memories growing up with your family - sleep overs, Disneyland, dragging Allison everywhere, digging a pool in your garden with Dianne & Guy when the Melville pool was closed for renos (I was afraid Judy would be mad, but she was just concerned about what my mom would think when I got home covered in dirt head to toe!).  Your family was so different from mine.  I was a little afraid of Judy (and Dennis too!) when I first became friends with Di in grade 3...but I soon learned that the bark was worse than the bite and I grew to love all of you.  Judy's fire-y spirit will be missed.  I admire the strength you've all shown through all the trials life has thrown your way, and your strength will get you through this as well.

I really feel for Dianne, Allison, Dennis, Cory, Maddie and Alex.  

When I think of Judy I remember a story.  A story about a young man and his zealous or over zealous nature when it came to creating a beautiful roaring fireplace fire.  I just hadn't realized how warm a napping person might get with the couch directly across from the fireplace.  Judy let me know, in a way only she could, how I had added a bit too much wood to the fireplace at Morris's.  

They referred to Margaret Thatcher as the "Iron Lady" but I don't think she had anything on Judy.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this time.

We were shocked to hear that Judy had passed away.  We had good times when we were neighbours and Judy was one of the best. She was so much fun to be with and we have fond memories of times spent together.  Dennis, Dianne and Allison please accept our love and prayers.
