I remember her love of reading. When I was the librarian in Wawota I had the privilege of bring her library books on a weekly basis.

What a blessing to have lived to the age of 101, and be of sound mind —playing scrabble, creating baby quilts, and enjoying family visits. The last time I spoke to Mary was last Christmas, when the Hints of Harmony sang at Deer View Lodge. She was a wonderful woman, and we know that your memories of the years you spent with her will always bring you comfort. Take care.

Mary is going home. Of course she will be missed but to have over a hundred years with her is amazing. She leaves a wonderful legacy, some beautiful handy work that she did right up until the end which are treasures to her family & friends and an inspiration to many to keep enjoying each day every day like she did. She looked so lovely in bright pink too..
