Norman George

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norman Edward George on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by his wife Isabel. He is survived by his children Laurel George, David George (Kathy) and Janet George; his sister Eve Eckart, sisters-in-law Evelyn Kerr and Bernice McWhirter; grandchildren, Nicole Colleaux (Mark), Shanna Colleaux, Erin George, Garret George(Jessica); great grandchildren Steffanie, Christian, Mathew, Mekayla, Isabella, Emmett; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Norman initially farmed in the Alameda area before settling on the farm near Carlyle. He retired from farming in his mid 70s. Norman enjoyed curling in his younger years and continued to golf into his 90s. He was a great father, grandfather and uncle. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, for his gentlemanly manner, for his constant sense of humour and his ready smile.

Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at both Arcola and Regina General hospitals for the excellent care and respect provided to Dad.

Memorial Service: 1:00PM Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Carlyle United Church with Reverend Michelle Moore officiating. Interment at Glen Morris Cemetery immediately after the service. Tea to follow at the church.
