Obituary of David Earl King, Jr.
Dave, commonly known as Moose, was many things to many people: a loving husband, dad, brother, uncle, grandpa and son. Beyond family, he was an entrepreneur, an Eagle Scout, a scout master, an elder in his church, Mr. Fix It and a great friend. Animals and children loved Mr. Moose. The same could be said for most of his customers and subcontractors from his construction company. His love of nature was seen in his gardening and knowledge of birds, trees and plants. He not only loved camping and fishing but enjoyed teaching others to do the same. He lived his life honorably based in love, loyalty and tolerance. Dave gave sacrificially to those around him. He was willing to help friends, neighbors, acquaintances and even perfect strangers when the need arose. He gave willingly of his time and resources to make his corner of the world a better place, and he always wanted to leave people with a smile, usually in the form of a bad dad joke. Preceded in death by his parents, David and Iona King and brother Dan King. Survived by his wife Karen (Wells), his children Sarah Bloomer, Jason King, Adrian King and Hannah King. As well as sisters Cathy Robison, Marilyn Kercheval, Melissa Taylor, and Claudia King. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 4-7 PM at Legacy Bible Church, 13490 Howe Rd., Fishers, Indiana. Service will be Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM also at the church.
