Mark Alan Lawrence

Mark A. Lawrence passed away peacefully Sunday, August 22, 2021 at his home. He was born June 19, 1946 in Indianapolis to Richard and Ruth (Landers) Lawrence. He graduated from Hanover College in 1968. He was employed over 30 years with American States Insurance Co./Safeco. He loved history, sports, traveling and his dog, Milli. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He married Margaret (Snyder) December 28, 1968 and was blessed with two daughters: Jennifer of Winter Springs, FL and Erica (Josh Bergstrand) of Lafayette, CO along with two fantastic grandsons Asher and Soren Bergstrand. He is also survived by his brother Thomas Lawrence (Connie) of South Carolina, sister-in-law Leslie Sperry (Maurie) from Roanoke, IN and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life open house will be held Sunday, August 29 from 12pm-3pm at his Carmel home. Memorials can be sent to the Humane Society of Indianapolis and to the Assistance League of Indianapolis.
