Huntersville, Minnesota. She was one of 6 children. She was preceded in death by her husband C. Walter Brooker and her siblings. She is survived by her 4 sons, David W., Charles V. (Karen), Joseph E.(Veronica), and Daniel E. (Dory), as well as her 9 grandchildren Jonathan, Shana, Taylor, Jackson, Kennedy, Collin, Benjamin, Lauren and Garrett, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Myrle came to Indianapolis at a young age of 19 to “find a job and make friends.” She always told people when she got off the bus from Minnesota she felt like an idiot, because she was bundled head to toe and people here just had a light jacket. She did find a job and made friends, including her dear friends Bob and Betty Quinn. Myrle spent the remainder of her life in the Indianapolis, Sheridan and Carmel areas. She worked as a secretary in downtown Indianapolis on the circle for several years before she got married to Walter and began their family. She then assisted Walter with his custom blind and drapery business until he retired.
Myrle was baptized for over 80 years as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was a member of the Fishers West congregation. She was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Prairie Lakes for their excellent care for Myrle during her final months.
