Sharon Kaye Blackburn Davila

Sharon was born on Tuesday, August 3, 1943 in Springfield, Illinois to Dallas W. Blackburn and Helen Lucretia Stults Blackburn. She graduated Fair Oaks High school in 1961, then completed a dental hygienist course at Elkhart School of Medical and Dental Technique in 1962. She graduated from nursing school in 1970, and then married in 1976. She graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelors in Health Professions in 1980, then gave birth to her daughter in 1984. Many years later in 2012 she was accepted to the Masters of Science Nursing program at Liberty University and completed much of the curriculum.

Sharon dedicated her career to caring for others as a nurse. She was known for her grace, compassion and her love of all things Americana.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ronald Dean Blackburn, aunt Jane Gwendolyn Stults, aunt Mary Stults Brackett, and uncle Kenneth Patton Stults.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Hill; her siblings Nancy Valimaki (John), Deborah DuVall (Jim), John Blackburn (Michelle), Rebecca David; 4 grandchildren; sister-in-law Susan Blackburn and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held at Leppert Mortuary-Carmel Chapel, 900 N. Rangeline Rd., Carmel, IN 46032, on April 17, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at Leppert Mortuary-Carmel Chapel on April 17, 2026, beginning at 5:00 pm.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
