Infant Whelan Joseph Bell, 4 months, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019. He was born December 14, 2018 to his loving and grateful parents, Allison and Joseph Bell. Whelan arrived during Advent and was truly an early Christmas gift of joy.
His brother Nolan and sister Hadley were his best friends. They loved each other very much, and their love for each other will continue throughout their lifetime.
Besides his immediate family, Whelan leaves behind grandparents Cindy and Bret Byam, and Janet and Joseph Bell, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins who will always love him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Harrison Thomas Swihart.
Whelan loved smiling, laughing and “talking” to anyone who would pay attention to him, especially his family. He liked being held. He loved diaper changes and his daddy tickling his bare feet. Most of all, Whelan loved his mom.
A private family funeral will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 11 AM at Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Westfield, IN.
A memorial Mass and celebration of Whelan’s life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
