78, of Westfield, Indiana departed this life Monday, October 26, 2020 at Maple Park Village. He was born November 24, 1941 to the late Julius S. and Evelyn Alice (Haase) Johnson. Bill was a merchant marine and had worked most of his life as a machinist. He had lived in Sheridan, Indiana for many years and enjoyed retirement at Maple Park Village where he was very active with his community since 2013. Bill had served as resident president at Maple Park Village, and his warm smile and welcoming spirit could often be found near the jigsaw puzzles. Bill was a kind and gentle soul who will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his dear sister, Mary Ellen Johnson. A graveside service for Bill will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 6th at Carmel Cemetery.
