

Don served in the Army being stationed in Germany during the Vietnam era. After completing his duty, he moved to New York to take a job with General Electric. Returning home from New York, he met and married Patricia Brown from Winnsboro, Texas. Don became a proud father in 1978 and moved with his family to Carrollton where they resided for 32 years.
Don’s career was in the electrical supply business where he made numerous, lifelong friends. He was in the industry for 40 years and was known for his knowledge, honesty and integrity.
Don was an avid reader and was an expert in the history of World War II. He enjoyed going to car shows, air shows and collected coins. He was also a mason. Don had a quick wit which made him loved by many. He was also known for his gift of telling stories and funny jokes which brightened the day for family and friends. Don was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church, Carrollton.
Don was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Dixie Coleman and sister Dixie McKee. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Coleman; daughter, Cara Porcelli and husband Phillip; and one granddaughter, Hailey; sister, Sharon Moore; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
