

Donald Lee Johnson, 84, of Farmers Branch, Texas, passed away on September 13th, 2020, in Grand Saline, Texas.
Don was born in McCaulley, Texas, to Charles Walton, Sr. and Ottie Lee (Dobbs) Johnson on October 12, 1935. He attended high school and played football at Hamlin, Texas. He married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Morris, on December 28, 1958, in Big Spring, Texas. Don retired as a Meatcutter at Safeway and Tom Thumb, and he was a member of the United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW) International Union. Upon retirement he worked part-time with the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. Don served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed reminiscing of his time in France where he was stationed.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, C.W., Sr. and Ottie Johnson; his wife, Barbara Johnson; as well as four brothers, C.W. Jr., Stanley, Harold, and Linnie; and one sister, Sarah Carlan.
He is survived by his sons, Terry and wife, Tammy; and Jim and wife, Karen; brother Tommy, sister Nellie Rhotan; grandchildren, Angela and husband, Jeff Tarrant, Ashlynn Johnson, and Clay Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Alyce and Zoey Tarrant.
