I worked with Sonny at Transamerica, and he was the kind of manager that pitched right in, and came up with a game plan on how to accomplish the task at hand. His positive attitude was infectious and you strived to not ever disappoint him.  His concern and care for people was extraordinary.  Sonny never wanted to be the center of attention; however, he was the key person you could always count on to get things done.  My life has been deeply enriched knowing such an outstanding man.  He will be missed by his wonderful family he was so proud of and his many friends. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers are with Kaye, Jay, Doug and Paul.

My sincerest condolences to the Bourne family for the loss of a truly remarkable man.  When Sonny first joined our company at Transamerica I told him we were not sure what we would do with him.  Many, many times over the years since I rephrased that statement to say that I do not know what we would do without him,  It has been a blessing to know him these past 15 years and know that all his co-workers/friends will miss him greatly.....God's Blessings
