Granvel Lee Moore, age 74 of Dallas, Texas, passed away April 27, 2021 in Dallas. Granvel was born December 15, 1946, to Leonard Granvel Moore and Edna Lucressia Reynolds Moore in Dallas, Texas.
Granvel retired from Dallas County Sheriff’s Department after servicing 22 years. He was also a patrolman for the Carrollton Police Department for 10 years. In his younger days he rode bulls and broncs. He loved his horses and everything involved with them. It was through his love of horses and related activities that he met his future wife. They still have horses to this day. He loved fishing and hunting and spent many a time with his sons and daughter enjoying this past time. Above all he loved his jokes and tricks!
Granvel is survived by his wife Diane of Dallas, sons, Kenneth Moore and wife LeAnna, Jared Moore and wife Sally, and daughter Tracey Curtis and husband Dennis, 6 grandchildren Colton Moore, Cody Moore, Gabby Curtis, Dakota Moore, Kendall Moore and Julia Moore. He was preceded in death by this parents; 1 brother R. L. Moore, 2 sisters Jane Chabot and June Kendrick, father-in-law Glenn Pope and his special sidekick Chloe.
