Gregory Van Terrell

With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away.

Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, your hard-working hands put to rest,

God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.

Gregory Van Terrell was born in Dallas, Texas to James Garnet Terrell and Joyce Marie Sims on October 19, 1960. He is preceded in death by his parents. Greg attended Lake Highlands High School. Greg had a distinguished career with Albertsons for 37 years, where he was loved by customers and employees alike. Greg will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and kindness and willingness to help. He is preceded in death by his aunt Peggy Townsend and his sister Jamie Miller. Greg is survived by sister Tina Burney and husband Jay Burney; brother Timothy Terrell and wife Cindy Terrell; sister Rebecca Bruce and husband Joe Bruce; beloved nieces Taylor Burney, Blair Burney and Andrea Burney; nephews Justin Miller and wife Katie Miller; Trevor Taylor; Tyler Terrell and wife Melanie Terrell; Brandon Terrell and Anna Grace Terrell; great-nieces Kara Miller and Emily Terrell; and great-nephews Preston Miller, Aidan Bruce and Gavin Bruce.
