
James Loranzy Clement, age 89, of Carrollton, TX passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011. Born January 22, 1922 in Mena, Arkansas to James and Caddie Cook Clement. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during World War II.
James owned and operated James Clement's Hairstyling Center in Carrollton for over 20 years. He was a member, a deacon and trustee of the First Christian Church in Carrollton for 59 years. He enjoyed dancing and was a charter member of the Dixie Chainers for 21 years and a charter member of the Carrollton Dance Club and the Farmers Branch Dance Club.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maxine Joyce (Plunkett) Clement in 2008. James is survived by two daughters, Angella Woodard of San Antonio, TX and Darla (Joe) Jarvis of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren, Byron, Rachel and Leah Woodard and Amanda and Austin Jarvis; and two brothers, George and Newton Clement.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church (1835 Walnut St., Carrollton, TX 75006). Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 7th in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cove, Arkansas.
