Maria Irene Ewing was a mother to four, the oldest of nine, and a kind and giving woman to many. Born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico on February 22, 1950 to Luis Pinones and Maria Del Refgio Cadena, she soon became a permanent resident in the United States in 1954. Maria was raised south of San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Lanier High School in 1970. Shortly thereafter, she married and had three daughters and later had a son. Maria loved to cook, bake, and crochet blankets for her children and grandchildren. She lived, laughed, and loved with determination to do the best for her family.
She is survived by her three daughters, Ida Gonzalez, Iris Gonzalez, Isis Mast, and son, Travis Ewing; grandchildren, Levi Mast, Tatum Mast and Onest Ewing; siblings, Marylou Gonzalez, Luis Pinones, Raymond Pinones, Carlos Pinones, Fernando Pinones, Christina Pinones and Sandra Pinones.
