I loved how you always had a smile on your face. I loved eating Tipico’s with you. I thought you were so amazing when you would fix cars! I will miss you!💜

From the time I met you, you were always so kind & sweet. Always had a love for all the people you met.
My son in particular you were always fond of. 
And for that we always maintained in contact always asking about each others children. 
Im grateful 2 have crossed paths with you & your Beautiful family.
Im sure you will always watch them from afar & be  near when they call out for your Spiritual guidance.
A mothers love never dies it just grows fonder with each loving memory of you. 
You will always live in the hearts of those who's lives you left your imprint on and mine is definitely one of them. 
We all family & friends will rally together to help watch over & guide your children as they continue their journey here on earth without you... its the least that we all can do. 
Im sure many of us will do our best to be there for them whenever they need a lil uplifting, a talk or a hug.

We had so many great memories together, you were an amazingly strong woman that cared deeply for your family and friends. I always respected the way you were present and intentional with your time for each of your kids, not to mention all of us that saw you as a second mom. My memories of you bring back so many laughs and so many fun times. 

From soccer games, to quinceñera practices, to parties on the handicap ramp and hanging out on summer nights , one thing I could always count on was a great laugh and knowing you'd never hold back to keep us in line. Thank you for making childhood so memorable and for being such a great example of a mother and human being. Thank you for the way you encouraged and supported and thank you for being you. I am heartbroken to know you were called home so early in life, but find comfort in knowing you are with God now. You are missed, but know a piece of you lives in each and every one of us. 

I have a few memories of you and they all sum up to you being a great mom to a big family which is not easy to do!

I got to see the way you interacted with your children and to my surprise your interaction was different with each of them; I eventually realized that it was not because you favorited one child more than the other, it was because you cared about them enough to put the effort in to be different with each child as opposed to someone who would be the same way with everyone (which doesn’t take any real effort). Your passion and support for your kids in whatever they pursued goes unmatched! 

You inspired me to be a great parent! I can say I learned great qualities from you that no one else could have taught me and I am so appreciative of that. 

You will be missed here but, I know God has called you home. 


Marisa...how I will miss you my dear friend.  I am so glad you and I reconnected.  Who would have thought that you and I would have become as close as we did after so many years.  God put us in each other's paths for a reason.  We learned so much from each other in such little time.  I just wish we had more time to spend together.   I'll never forget all of the good times we had .  Thank you for your words of encouragement.  You always focused on the positive and expressed your strong faith.  I will miss our funny sayings like....que? que? and interrrrrrresting.  Oh, how we laughed together.  I know I will see you again my sweet friend.  May your soul rest in peace.

When I hear your name or read your name I only remember your happiness because that’s what you were to me. A  big smile and loud laughter in the school halls of  TJ  and classes. That’s where Marisa and I first became friends. 

She was joy,  she was kind and super friendly and I am sure her life carried on like this  when Life  began after high school. I can see her being the back bone of the family as they say  because she was the tough girl  too back in the day ;)

 We would always run into each other throughout the years  it was joyful and it was like the years never passed.

  My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends my dear Marisa and you will be truly missed but  the memories of you will always remain with  in me.

All of our friends would say you were “the cool mom” and we would just roll our eyes and tell you you were old and stop trying to be cool. I guess you were a cool mom (eye roll) lol love and miss you like crazy Mom

I still remember like it was yesterday, It was about 6years ago and Christmas was around the corner. I was just starting my carrier and still attending school so I was struggling to even eat, I remember I had an old beat up eclipse that I would drive, I was so broke that I had no brakes on my car I was breaking with the hand brake. Mrs. Rojas some how knew that I was struggling and she told me...( for Christmas I want to put new brakes on your car) i was in shock I felt like a big weight was being lifted off my shoulders. she took me to her mechanic that she would go to and she gave me my gift but not only did she give me my brakes for Christmas, she gave me hope and strength I knew that day that I wasnt alone, thank you mrs. Rojas I will always miss you and forever be grateful for what you did for me.

Our family (Art, Michelle, and Meghan) was blessed to spend several years with Marisa and her family as part of Bumblebee soccer.  We cheered the girls on through wins and losses, made snacks, and sat in the blazing sun and freezing cold together. Marisa was a wonderfully happy person and we loved sharing family stories, frustrations and joys of being a parent, and reminding each other to cheer when we forgot to watch a goal being scored or a great play by our daughters.  After the girls finally grew out of Bumblebee soccer, Art and I were always thrilled to run into Marisa at the store, at the football field, and around town. Marisa, you are missed by all who knew you.  Know that we hold you all in our thoughts and prayers.  God bless.

Survived by her husband Rudolph Rojas Jr. and their daughters Amanda and Samantha Rojas and sons Gabriel, Joseph, Thomas and Rudy Rojas, daughter in law Iris and Hasina and her 4 grandchildren Mark, Genesis, Mina and Camila. She is also survived by her sister Diana Lopez, nephews Oscar and Angel Marroquin and nieces Melissa Holtzclaw and Erica Vilde.
