Mary Pauline Jackson Lavender, 90 of Farmers Branch, TX passed away peacefully at the Sandy Lake Rehabilitation & Care Center on August 13, 2022. She was born on January 2, 1932 in Como, Mississippi to George and Macey Elizabeth Jackson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Rose Marie Day, brothers George Jackson and Robert “Bobby” Jackson. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Glenn and Susie Lavender, Bill and Nelda Lavender, Bob and Michelle Lavender, Alan and Jamie Lavender, and Dave and Alissa Lavender; grandchildren Kenny, Eric, Haylee, Tarah and Olivia; great grandchildren Harrison and Keaton.
She graduated from Como High School and attended college at Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus, MS. For 2 years, she was a member of the Lantern Society. She has lived in Farmers Branch over 60 years and enjoyed playing bridge at the Senior Center. She was a member of the Farmers Branch Woman’s Club. She has been a member of Christ United Methodist Church since 1967 and looked forward to going to church every week. She was loved very deeply by her family, church and friends and will be greatly missed. She was an incredible Mother raising 5 boys who all loved her very much.
