

A resident of Coppell since 1978, she was an active person with many interests. Foremost was her family and the practice of her faith. A long - time member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Mary had been a volunteer for many church and community projects. In past years she was involved with Meals on Wheels and was a member of the PEO, and as an avid reader, a book club member, as well as a Bible study group.
Preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, William P. Shannon, a son, William and a daughter Nancy Scopas and a grandson, William P. Shannon, Mary is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Shannon-Mojica; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Shannon; a son-in-law, John Scopas four grandchildren, Daniel Mojica, Mark Shannon, Emily Scopas and Patrick Mojica; sisters, Alice Esposite and her husband Vincent, Margaret McGuire, Nancy Palumbo and her husband Nick and her brother, Lawrence Campbell and his wife Fran.
A visitation with a Rosary Service will be from 7-9 pm Thursday at Rhoton Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at 10 am Friday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Coppell with burial to follow in Hilltop Memorial Park
