Rafael Martinez-Rojas

Rafael Martinez Rojas, a beloved and brave man, passed away on January 5, 2026, at the age of 37. He was born on December 17, 1988, in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. At a young age, Rafa moved with his family to Dallas, Texas, where he built a life rooted in hard work, love, and dedication.

Rafa graduated from high school and earned a degree in welding. He was self-employed and known for his many talents, specializing in electrical and A/C repairs. He loved fixing things and was admired for his strong work ethic and unwavering loyalty to his family and friends.

Rafa was a devoted husband to Ashley Ellis-Martinez, with whom he shared 10 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they welcomed two children, Angelina “Layla” Martinez and Xavier Martinez. He was also a loving father to his two beautiful daughters, Hazel Martinez and Isabella Martinez.

In addition to his immediate family, Rafa is survived by his father, Alvaro Martinez; eight siblings; and many nieces and nephews. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will be deeply cherished by all who knew him.

Rafa found joy in listening to music, baking delicious cheesecakes, and admiring classic cars. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and loved the outdoors, often going fishing and grilling with his family.

A visitation will be held at Rhoton Funeral Home, located at 1511 South Interstate 35E, Carrollton, TX 75006, on January 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The funeral Mass will take place at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220, on January 19, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a committal service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the same location.
