

Robert L Johnson, 82, of Carrollton Tx, passed away on February 28th, 2024.
Robert was born in Mineral Wells, Tx on December 3, 1941, to Robert F Johnson and Bernice Bradley. He graduated from Cypress Fairbanks in Houston, Tx.
Robert enlisted in the Coast Guard in October 1960 and stationed in Cape May, New Jersey. After serving 4 years in the military he returned to Houston, Tx where he worked for Purolator Courier before attending Columbia Broadcasting School. He went on to become a disk jockey and use his talents at radio stations in Carlsbad New Mexico and Henderson, Tx before coming to Dallas in 1989. In his later years, he would go on to work as a school bus driver with the CFBISD and in the distribution center before retiring. He spent time with the Senior Citizens group and visiting shut-ins at his church. He had an affinity for the ocean and loved the beauty of the mountains. He was compassionate towards animals and was known to bring home more than one stray to give it a better life.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents and brother.
Robert is survived by his daughter Kimberly and husband James Johnson, and other family and friends.
