Wanda Lene Reeves

Carrollton, Texas- Wanda L. Reeves, a long-time resident of the Carrollton/Farmers Branch area, passed away Friday, February 11, 2011. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on August 27, 1927 to Callie and Tom Mills. She met her husband of 49 years, Clayton C. Reeves while living in Oklahoma. Together they had two children, Linda Kennedy and Randy Reeves.

Her parents, husband, Clayton and her sister, Marie Blair, preceded Wanda in death. Her two children, her brother Tommy Mills, 5 grandchildren, Jeff, Jamie, Jace, Andi and Gabe along with their families and 9 great grand children survive her. She is remembered by Sister in-law Barbara Bates, Brother in-laws Doyle and Joe (wife Patsy) Reeves, and many nieces and nephews.

Our Wanda loved socializing. She never met a stranger and was quite the conversationalist. She loved to visit by phone and was never at a loss for words. She was an excellent cook and hosted many family “get togethers” in her home with her late husband Clayton. She had a creative flair and was known to add her special touches to gifts and cards given to others over the years. She was a unique person and will be dearly missed.
