She married Michael Joseph Doody on August 20, 1945 in Genoa, DeKalb County, Illinois and had seven children; Michael Joseph, David William, Stephen Allen, Patricia Marie, Edward Nathan, Janice Lee and Judith Ann. Later divorced.
Married briefly to LeRoy Preiss and Cecil Larry Cooper. Later divorced.
She died Thursday, September 19, 2014 in Carson City, Nevada. Burial will be in the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Fernley, Nevada with full military honors.
Preceded in death by her parents, sister Myrle, brothers Ilo and Clinton, daughter-in-law Peggy Doody, grandsons Brian Funk and Kyle Funk.
Survived by all seven children, 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
