Stacy Renee Johnston-Devries

Stacy Renee Johnston de Vries was born on April 2nd, 1962 in San Jose, California to John and Marjorie Johnston. She grew up in San Jose and attended Gilroy High School where she graduated in 1980. In her childhood she had a deep love for animals and enjoyed horseback riding and raising animals.

After graduation, Stacy went on to obtain her cosmetology license. Although, some would say Stacy was a “Jack of All Trades,” she spent most of her life as a homemaker. On February 16th, 1991 she married Robert Lee de Vries in Carson City, Nevada. Together they shared two beautiful children, Devin Lanee and Jacob Shane. Stacy was a devoted mother and spent most of her time leading the 4-H program and attending motocross races. There is nothing that she would not do for their children. Stacy had many hobbies that brought her joy including her animals and most recently, her grandson Thomas John.

She is preceded in death by her father, John B. Johnston and her loving animals Waldo, Rowdy, Zeus, and Remy. Stacy leaves behind her husband Robert L. de Vries of Gardnerville, NV; her daughter Devin Lanee de Vries of Gardnerville, NV; her son and his wife Jacob and Alex de Vries of Gardnerville, NV; her mother Marjorie K. Johnston of Gardnerville, NV; her brother and his wife John and Carol Johnston of Elko, NV; Her niece Jessica K. Johnston of Elko, NV and her grandson Thomas John Francis of Gardnerville, NV.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where everyone is invited to share stories, laughter and continue celebrating Stacy’s life.
