

Mrs. Tidwell was born April 27, 1934, the daughter of the late Albert Luther Hightower and Eva Rose Hale Hightower.
Betty Sue Tidwell was a beloved, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a long standing member of the American Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed shopping and visiting Gatlinburg, TN with her husband of 61 years, Griffin Tidwell. She loved spending her spare time with her grandchildren. She was also a member of Peeple’s Valley Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Griffin Tidwell; daughter, Karon Toole of Powder Springs, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Terrell and Jeanita Tidwell of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren, Amber Toole of Hiram, GA, Tinsley and Danny Stephens of Kennesaw, GA, Weston Humphrey of Powder Springs, GA, and Mallory Tidwell of Cartersville, GA; great grandson, Chandler Stephens of Kennesaw, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Grady Stewart of Gainesville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Van and Mary Hightower of Cartersville, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 Sunday, March 3, 2013 from the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Battles and Rev. Mike Abernathy officiating. Interment will immediately follow from Oak Hill Cemetery, Cartersville, GA.
Serving as pallbearers are Brian Hightower, Joey Cooper, Robert Lanham, Landon Sutton, Mike Tidwell, Lee McGuire, Mike Stewart, Gary Stewart and Jeff Stewart.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Owen Funeral Home.
