Bobby Dale Jones

Mr. Jones was born September 10, 1936 in Rome, Georgia, son of the late Henry Brady Jones, Sr. and Lilly Mae Goss Jones. Mr. Jones was a graduate of Rome Senior High School and attended special courses at Clemson College and Greenville Tech in South Carolina. Mr. Jones was formally associated with Wunda-Weve division of Dan River Mills in Greenville, S.C., in several positions including Laboratory Manager. Mr. Jones began his career in carpet and yarn dyeing with Dellinger, Inc. in Rome, Georgia. Mr. Jones was General Manager of Southern Yarn Dyers, Inc. in Cartersville, Ga., and prior to retirement, he was associated with Organic Chemicals. Mr. Jones was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Cartersville Lions Club, Cherokee Masonic Lodge #66 F & AM, Rome Chapter #26 R.A.M. and was member of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Pritchett Jones; son, Perry Jones; grandchild, Elizabeth Jones; brothers, Ben Jones and wife Mabel and H.B. Jones, Jr.;

Mr. Jones is survived by his sons, Rusty Jones and wife Joyce, Patrick Todd Jones; grandchildren, Toni Jones, Bradley Jones, Jennifer Jones; brother, George Wyle Jones and wife Wynell; sisters-in-law, Elsie Jones and Barbara Clark; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 20th at 1:00 p.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Hattaway officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with Cherokee Masonic Lodge #66 F & AM in charge of masonic graveside rites.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will include members of Cherokee Masonic Lodge #66 F & AM. Honorary pallbearers will include Todd Jones.
