Calvin Harold Miller

Mr. Miller was born October 21, 1947 in Cartersville, Georgia. He was the son of Ernest Miller and Lula Jane Hames Miller. He taught auto mechanics at Cartersville High School for 13 years. He was a graduate of Taylorsville High School and North Metro Technical College. He was a member of Euharlee Baptist Church where he was baptized on August 18, 1963. He was a 44 year Master Mason and was a member & Past Master of Euharlee Masonic Lodge #457 F & AM. He was a retired Master Sergeant with 26 years service from the U.S. Air Force Reserve and served in Operation Desert Storm.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Gayle Miller; son, Ernest Miller, II (Robin); daughter, Desiree Blalock (James); grandchildren, Peyton Miller, Emily Miller, Ernest “Cal” Miller, III, Caylin Peterman; parents, Ernest & Lula Jane Miller; sister, Shirley Malone (Jerry); brother, Ronnie Miller (Charlene); many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning December 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Windsor officiating. Masonic rites will be conferred by Euharlee Masonic Lodge #457 F & AM at the chapel. Gary Bell will escort the procession to Georgia National Cemetery for interment and military graveside rites at 1:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends Monday evening December 16th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Rick Ross, Thomas Heard, Mike McFarland, Derrick Howren, Mike Howard, and Kevin Marcera.
