Carol G. Garner Edwards

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Edwards, parents, J.Ray Garner and Annie Lou Morris Elder, a brother, Danny Ray and her grandparents.

She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Jones and Carrie Dunn and her husband, Wayne, four grandchildren, Brandon and Reece Jones, Hanna and Zoe Dunn, daughter and son by marriage, Trasi Edwards Bray and Chris Edwards, three grandchildren, Tori and Taryn Grant, Brittany Edwards and her dearest friend, Rick Smith.

Mrs. Edwards was on staff with the Fiddlin’ John Carson Productions, the Atlanta Society of Entertainers, of which she received several “treasured” awards, was on staff and a proud member of The Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame, where she received The Gold Fiddle Award.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 14, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Randall Franks officiating.

Burial will follow in White Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame, 4051 Seven Hills Court, Stone Mountain, Georgia 30083.
