Charles, A man of great honor, love and respect. You are the best dad and granddad I could have chosen to be the father of my children. Your love for them never changed from babies to full grown men. 30 years we were married, but every year since I was 14 years old you were my best friend. Strange how though friendship marriage and divorce we never stopped being friends. I miss you Charles and you were not supposed to go without me. I cry every day when I think about that conversation that we would go together so the boys would only experience this once, but God called you first and you answer. I miss you Charlie and every day I think I can only imagine

Uncle Charles, I first met you when I was 15 years old. Well, I met you earlier as a baby, but I remember it at age 15. I have so many special memories of you, but the ones I remember the most were how important family was to you. You were a gentle giant... a big teddy bear that gave the best hugs with the tickle of your beard. I could not even begin to count the amount of people that I know you opened your home to and never complained. You fed them, gave them a place to stay, showed them love when no one else would and even gave them a bit of tough love when they needed it. Never have I known a man that worked as hard as you did for those you loved. You would... and probably have given the shirt off your back. I especially remember your jokes and your funny giggle you had. I always felt safe and loved when you were around and God knows when I first reunited with my family, I needed all the love I could get and you didn't let me down. I felt like the daughter you never had. I remember one time in particular when I was talking to a guy and you had already sized him up so to speak... you had a firm talk with me. I was more scared of that "talk" than being in trouble. I never wanted to disappoint you. That guy never came back around. Somehow I believe my cousin Chuck was having his own "firm" talk with him as well. That's one thing with the Woodall family.. They are like glue. You mess with one.. you mess with all. You made everyone a better person. Although we miss you, we know that you are now with the Lord and those family and friends that have gone home before us... and you are now complete. I love you and will treasure every memory. I know I will see you again someday, until then give everyone up there a hug for me. *Another Rose In God's Garden*

Charlie, I love you more than words can say. I sit sometimes and think about our family and all the happy times we had together. We didn't have riches, But we had each other and a wonderful DADDY and Mother. I think about how hard our daddy worked to take care of his 10 children. It never crossed his mind to give up. He could have walked away like so many men do now. But he chose to stay and take care of his family. We had a  beautiful Godly mother she always made sure her children were taken care of and lots of other children as well. I would listen to her pray for us by name  every night. And when she went home my precious Father started praying for his children. One by one Vera, Rose Lee ,Billy,  Mother then Bobby, next Jean, Daddy then Dan and now our little Charlie you all have formed a circle of love in Heaven our beautiful family home again we miss our family so much, and can't wait for the day that we complete that circle. Charles was good friend and brother. We had alot of good times together. Going fishing working together or playing cards. It was just to hang out with Charles and the guys. I really enjoyed the few days we had at Christmas. You always said enjoy the time you got because you never know how much we have. I never thought you would go home to be with God, family, and friends so soon. You were such a strong and good man. I am truly going to miss you. Thank God we will all be together soon. Love you much brother.

     Your passing has affected multiple people but we know your in a better place. The week you spent with Nana, Dad, Paw Paw, Joey, and I was one of my favorite weeks. You made me laugh with your wonderful stories and creative jokes. I remember staying up and watching football games with you and dad and laughing at how enthusiastic you both were. You introduced me to what is now my favorite movie, footloose, and the world's greatest biscuits at Martins. All the memories of going on jobs, laughing at jokes and listening to your stories will be memories that will stick with us forever. You were an incredible man with an incredible heart and you will forever and always be missed.  ROLL TIDE!!!!!
