

Mrs. Hunter was born Sept. 4, 1936, in Union City, Tenn., the daughter of the late Hubert Manley Griffith and Gwendolyn Guyoma Clemets Griffith. Mrs. Hunter was employed at Krogers for many years and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. Miles Price Hunter; and a brother, Bill Griffith.
Surviving are her children, a son, Miles Hunter of Nashville; a daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Mike LaRue of Cartersville; grandchildren, Julie and Jeremy Griffin, Michael LaRue, Sarah LaRue, Tyler Hunter; a great-grandchild, Benjamin Price Griffin; a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Elise Griffith of Texas; and a sister-in-law, Naomi Griffith of Cookeville, Tenn. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve McCombs and the Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Lehmann Smith, Michael LaRue, Larry Williams, Matthew Early, Nathan Griffith and Jeremy Griffin.
