Donald Dutton

Donald Dutton, 75, of Floral Drive, Cartersville, Georgia died Saturday, December 11, 2010.

Mr. Dutton was born March 16, 1935 in Gordon County, the son of the late Jess and Arlene Gregory Dutton. He was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, was a retired supervisor at Shaw Industries after 38 years and was of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ester Dutton and five brothers, Charles Jack Dutton, Sonny Dutton, Melvin Dutton, Jimmy Dutton and Buddy Dutton.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Alice Dutton, his daughter, Donna Hardin, his son, Mark Dutton, a grandson, Jason Hardin, all of Cartersville, two brothers and sisters in laws, Ted and Shirley Dutton and John and Joy Dutton, two sisters in law, Mildred Dutton and Mary Dutton, all of Calhoun and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. James Bennett officiating.

Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
