Dorothy Gillespie Gentry

Mrs. Gentry was born January 9, 1930, in Bartow County, the daughter of the late, James Blaine Gillespie and Mary Lou(Stroup) Gillespie, was retired from the Cartersville Undergarment and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy R. Grey; father, James Blaine Gillespie; her mother and step father, Mary Lou and H.C. Jackson; and a grandson, Michael Thompson.

Surviving are her children, Rachel and Tony Burt of Cartersville, Reba and Dennis Thompson of Cartersville, Robert and Donna Gentry of Cartersville, four grandchildren, Lamar Burt, Jan Tidwell, Carl and Craig Gentry, ten great grandchildren, sister in law, Mozelle Ingle of Pine Log and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2015, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. David Baker and Rev. Scott Shepherd officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:30 am until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will be Lamar Burt, Clay Burt, Carl Gentry, Craig Gentry, Lee Tidwell, Burt Tidwell and Brack Bagwell.
