Everett George Roberts Jr.

Mr. Roberts was born April 26, 1948 in Athens, Tennessee the son of Mary Nell (Cochran) Roberts and the late, Everett George Roberts, Sr. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam, was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Karen Meadows.

Surviving is his wife, Lan Roberts of Cartersville, four children, Thuy Roberts of Atlanta, John Roberts of Hilton Head, S.C., Leila Banks (Chris) of Cartersville, Jason Roberts of Cartersville, 3 grandchildren, Lianna Roberts, Blake Stover, Hunter Banks, his mother, Mary Nell Roberts of Dallas, Georgia, his sister, Maureen Greenway of Helen, Georgia and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Don Voyles officiating.

Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with Military Rites.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
