Flaudie Stewart Gregory

Mrs. Gregory was born on November 6, 1938 in Pensacola, FL, daughter of the late Huddie Mosco Stewart and Martha Ophelia Hattaway Stewart.

Mrs. Gregory was raised in Pensacola where she met and married her loving husband of 57 years, Alfred Gregory. Her life’s career was a Special Education Teacher at the elementary school level. She also was proficient in sign language and taught many children how to communicate. Mrs. Gregory received numerous awards during her career including The Golden Apple award (Teacher of the Year) and Who’s Who in America. After retirement, they decided to relocate to Cartersville. Mrs. Gregory’s favorite hobbies were tending to her flower gardens, knitting and crocheting. She was a proud and active member of Oakgrove Baptist Church of Cartersville.

Mrs. Gregory is preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Gregory and a granddaughter, Rachel Gregory.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred Gregory; children, Joan Gregory, Tim Gregory (Kathy), Cindy Smith (Ray), Donnie Gregory; daughter-in-law, Angie Gregory; brothers, William W. Stewart (Linda) and Richard M. Stewart (Steve); sister, Ann Sheffield (Jerry); grandchildren, Dave Gregory, Chris Gregory (Noel), Patrick Gregory (Katie), Laura Hicks (Adam), Webb Smith (Jenny), Will Smith, Ophelia Gregory, Winston Smith and Shelby Gregory; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Funeral Services will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, February, 27, 2015 at Pensacola Pensacola Baptist Temple, Pensacola, FL.

Serving as pallbearers are Mrs. Gregory’s grandsons.

A Visitation will be held for one hour prior to service time at Pensacola Baptist Temple, Pensacola, FL.

Interment will immediately follow from Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

A Memorial Service will be held here locally at a date to be announced later.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions made to Bartow Family Resources or Amedisys Hospice of Cartersville.
